THE
PROGRAM
The Mount Auburn Club Tennis Program offers a wide variety
of instructional, competitive and social opportunities for
players of all levels. We have assembled one of the finest
certified teaching staffs in New England. For a player who
is new to the game, we offer a system of graduated level clinics
that consists of instruction and supervised play. For a more
experienced player, we offer our Social Mix and Match, the
Ladder and Competitive League Play (both Intra- and Inter-Club)
From the beginner to the tournament player, whether you are
a social or competitive player, the Mount Auburn Club has
a program for you!
INITIAL SESSION
A free on-court
40-minute evaluation lesson with one of the Tennis Professionals
is your first step in getting started in the tennis program.
All programs have a rating category, based on skill level,
established by the USTA (United States Tennis Association)
which is referred to as the NTRP rating (National Tennis rating
Program). The Tennis Professional will give you your NTRP
rating, explain the tennis program and give you tips to help
your game.
WEB PARTNER ARRANGING PROGRAM
(Sign-up)
The Web Partner Arranging Program helps you find
more members via e-mail to play tennis with at both your tennis
rating (NTRP level) and membership type playing time. Updated
lists are e-mailed monthly. Register online by clicking on
the Sign-up link above. Once you are on the Web Partner Arranging
Program page click on your membership type and follow the
steps to Login and register in the Web Self Booker.

must have a tennis rating (NTRP level) in our system in order
to participate.

Specialty Clinics
Cardio Tennis with Jon (Open to Non-members) NEW!
Thursdays 6:00pm -7:00pm
Cardio Tennis is a fun group action packed workout for all levels.
Challenge your fitness level on the tennis court with a combination of movement and drills. Improve your game by improving your fitness level.
Minimum of 5 participants Maximum of 8 participants

Super Shot Clinic with Steve (Open to Non-members) NEW!
Thursdays 1:00pm -2:30pm
Each week the Super Shot Clinic will focus on a new stroke with an emphasis
on consistency, control and spin.
All levels welcomed.

Adult Tennis
Clinic (ATC) (Open to Non-members)
Our system of graduated level clinics for 1.0-3.5
NTRP level students. The clinic is a 6:1 student to pro ratio
in a monthly program. Each week the 90 minute class has
a different focus for instruction and supervised play. Six to a court.

Grand Slam Clinic with Chris (Open to Non-members) NEW!
Sundays 12:00pm -1:30pm (level 3.5)
This clinic covers fundamental stroke motion, movement and strategy.
A fast
paced set of drills and ball machine workout.

Lessons
We offer private and group tennis lessons that can be arranged
at times mutually convenient for the student and tennis professional.
The group lessons give an opportunity for members to work
with players closely matched to their ability level, providing
them with an excellent learning environment.

SOCIAL
Mix and
Match
The Mix and Match program is a weekly round robin
bringing together players of similar levels for an hour and
a half of doubles play at 30 minute timed intervals. Members
must have a rating to participate in Mix and Match.

COMPETITIVE LEAGUE PLAY
Women's Daytime
Doubles League (Members Only)
We offer the following women's doubles leagues
which compete against other clubs throughout the Boston area:
The Winter League: The season runs October through
March
The Spring League: The season runs April through mid-June
Both Leagues play matches on either Wednesday or Thursday
from 9am- 12:30pm. Team practice is Monday and Tuesday mornings.

Weekend
Inter-Club League (Members Only)
We field a Women's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 team that plays Saturdays
from Noon-3:00pm.
We also field a Men's 3.5, 4.5 and 5.0 team that plays Saturdays
from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
The Weekend Inter-Club League begins in October and runs through
April with playoffs in May.

World
Team Tennis (WTT) (Members Only)
The WTT league will be held on Sundays from 5:00pm-8pm October thru March. The level begins at NTRP
3.0 and up. This league is in a team format of Women and
Men Singles and Mixed Doubles competition.

Club Champion Tournaments (Members Only)
We offer Club Championship Tournaments for singles,
doubles and mixed doubles. For each tournament there are divisions
for NTRP Levels 3.0-4.5.
Applications are in the Lobby and should be filled out and returned to a service desk representative. Sign-up

We offer competitive ladders for men and women at

Mixed Doubles check-in and warm up begins at 7:00pm. Round
