The Balance Optimal Weight and Nutrition program includes an 8-week group, nutritional program aimed at guiding you toward optimal health and a healthy weight. One hour classes are led by registered dietitian, Diana Cullum-Dugan. 

Next session begins Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
Choose from two convenient 1-hour class times: 12:30pm or 6:30pm.

Please note: The first session is 90 minutes.

Cost for the 8-week program:
$324 for members
$374 for non-members.

Program Includes:

  • A Resting Metabolic Test and an Exercise Metabolic Test.*
    These tests yield metabolic numbers which will guide your trainer (who performs the test) as he/she creates a personalized physical activity program for you – to optimize the burning of calories during your workouts as well as improve your overall fitness. Knowing the results of this test, and using the program specially designed for you, will bring your body to its best physical fitness condition. (a $199 value)

  • The best-selling nutrition book: Eat, Drink and Weigh Less
    By Dr. Walter Willett and Mollie Katzen (a $15 value).

  • Weekly taste tests of healthy foods

  • Each week, we’ll explore different topics – hunger and satiety – those internal cues that lead us to eat and stop eating – environmental control, stress and time management, and easy ways to make changes in your every day behavior to achieve success. You will be able to identify your nutritional needs and receive evidence-based methods to achieve your goals. Your own nutritional needs might include weight loss, eating to prevent or control disease, or just to get back onto a healthy eating pattern.

  • Structured class with group support, on-going coaching, hands on fitness and nutritional education

    *The Resting Metabolic Test requires an 8-12 hour fast with no alcohol, cigarettes, stimulants, and excessive exercise during that time. The Exercise Metabolic Test requires all the same except the fast is 1-3 hours. For you to receive the best possible results from the tests, you will plan on testing on 2 separate days.
