The goal of the Community Active Living Program is to provide mature adults with a comprehensive, interactive lifestyle education which promotes lifelong health, well-being and a sense of belonging. We are committed to enriching the mind, body, and spirit of all Community Active Living participants with programming that includes physical activity and addresses educational, cultural, and social interests.

At the heart of the Community Active Living Program are group exercise classes that meet twice each week for an 8-week period. These classes are taught by certified instructors and are designed to be safe for maturing bodies and effective for improving health.

Our GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES give you:
The FREEDOM AND FLEXIBILITY of choosing classes and times which are right for you! The FUN AND SUPPORT that a group of friends provides. Enjoy the comradery of men and women who are looking to supplement their daily activities with a supervised program as well as those who have never exercised before. The CARE AND GUIDANCE of our skilled, nationally-certified instructors. Instructors are chosen for their ability to create an environment that is educational and non-competitive. They share a love for their craft and are comfortable teaching adults of all fitness levels. The COMFORT of your own clothes. You don't need a special exercise wardrobe. Come to class in any kind of sneakers and wear loose-fitting clothes that you can move in. (The one exception is our aquatics class - you will need a bathing suit for the pool!) The ENERGY that comes from music you love. Enjoy tunes from the Big Band era, the 50s, Broadway, Swing, and Motown. We promise to protect your ears while we condition your body! The CONVENIENCE of our location. We are located on the Watertown/Cambridge line, less than a 5-minute walk from an MBTA bus stop (Route 70A) and within 1/4 mile of the Arsenal Mall and 2 miles from Mount Auburn Hospital. Ample free on-site parking is available.
