Cancellation/Confirmation Policy

We require 24-hour notice for ALL date changes and cancellations of appointments. A 50% fee is charged if you are within this time period. No-shows are charged at 100%. We request all appointments be held with a Visa or MasterCard.

Booking Appointments

Walk-ins are always welcome however we do recommend you call at least two weeks in advance to book appointments. Larger groups or wedding parties can be accommodated with four to six weeks advanced notice. We ask that all spa patrons arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.

Medical Conditions

All first-time Spa guests are required by law to fill out a brief questionnaire upon check-in. If you are pregnant, or have any pre-existing medical conditions such as high blood pressure, injuries, or allergies, please inform us when booking your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Waxing & Facial Clients

If you have recently had laser treatments, plastic surgery, or are/were recently using Retin-A, Accutane, Differin, or any other photosensitizing medications, please inform your skin therapist as this may affect our ability to perform your requested treatment.

Late Arrivals

We understand that things come up. Unfortunately, arriving tardy will limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your enjoyment. We will try our best to accommodate you however if too much time has lapsed and the therapist is booked, your treatment will end as originally scheduled so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of the treatment will be applied.

Age Requirements

The Spa is a great place for you to get some alone time. We love babies however, for safety reasons we cannot allow you to bring them to your Spa appointment. Anyone under 18 years of age must have written parental consent. Anyone under the age of 16 must have written parental consent as well as parental supervision. Children without Spa appointments are not allowed in the Spa area.

What to Wear

The Spa environment is quite relaxed. We offer bathrobes and slippers for your convenience, as well as lockers to store your belongings. If you are having a Pedicure service we recommend you bring your own flip flops for the way home. Please wear comfortable yoga style clothing where indicated.

Payments & Gratuities

We accept MAC Club Cash, cash, personal or travelers checks, as well as both Visa and MasterCard. Gratuities are customarily 15-20% of the full service price and are at your discretion. For your convenience we offer cash envelopes, or you may add gratuities onto your credit card.

Amenities

As a Non-Member visiting The Spa, you are welcome up to 30 minutes prior to your Spa appointment to use our steam room and sauna free of charge. You may also relax on one of our decks or patios. If you would like full access to the Club we require a waiver and guest pass for a fee of $10, which can be purchased at the Spa reception desk.

Cell Phones

We kindly ask that you leave your cell phone at home. If it's a necessity, please respect your fellow patrons by turning it to silent. Calls may be made in the lobby of the Club.

Parking

We have three free parking lots here at The Mount Auburn Club. As a guest you are welcome to park in any of them however, the un-gated lot is handicap accessible only. Our two main parking areas, located on either side of the building, are both gated. You will need to press the white intercom button on the front of the call box and someone at the front desk will assist you.

Consults

Not sure if a service is right for you? We offer complimentary 15-minute consultations for almost all of our services. Please remember to book your consult as you would any other service. We also schedule product consults with our Estheticians.

Valuables

We understand that many of you are coming to the Spa directly from work or elsewhere but we do suggest if possible that you leave your sentimental and/or valuable jewelry at home. While it may be tempting to stash your belongings in our robe pockets it's not advisable. If you have lost something of importance, please call us. We do have a lost and found.
