Tennis Highlights After attending the University of Florida on a tennis scholarship, Sheryl was ranked #1 in New England Women's Singles and Mixed Doubles along with Assistant Head Pro Nino Vinkovic.

Darren Becker

In addition to directing tennis for a variety of clubs and programs since 1996, Darren served as Bentley University's Assistant Tennis Coach before joining the Mount Auburn Club Tennis Department. He enjoys working with all ages, abilities, and personalities. Darren brings a unique perspective to the game as an avid Buddhist practitioner, investigating the mind, body and spirit connection. Darren enjoys both competitive coaching and playing. He has won a CMass Championship at the Mount Auburn Club as a player for the Men's A-team and as Coach of the Women's C-team.
Tennis Highlights Darren played 4 years of varsity collegiate tennis at Wesleyan University. He captained the team from 2001 to 2003, competed at #1 doubles and #2 singles positions, and was awarded Academic All-Conference honors by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

Deborah Bickoff

Deborah has been a tennis pro at the Mount Auburn Club since 1992. Additionally she worked for several summers in the tournament office at the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I. Before joining us, she taught tennis at the Easton Tennis Club and at the Suburban Athletic Club. She is currently a part-time pro here.
Tennis Highlights: Deborah played on the Springfield College varsity team which twice won the Division 2 New England Championships.

Matt Gelotte

Matt grew up in Westwood, Mass. playing tennis at a young age. After graduating, he organized the Summer Tennis Program for the Recreation Department on Martha's Vineyard. In 1991 Matt joined the Mount Auburn Club Tennis Staff as a Pro. Since starting his own business, Matt teaches here part-time.
Tennis Highlights Matt has played #1 singles and doubles for MAC's Men's A-Team for over 15 years.

Brent Gruno

Brent Gruno, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, has over 15 years of experience teaching tennis and over 25 years of playing competitively. He was previously Director of Tennis at the YMCA in Edwardsville, Ill. He has worked with all ages and levels from beginners to professionals including NCAA Division 1 players.
Tennis Highlights Brent played collegiately at Jefferson College, where the team finished NJCAA Div. 1 17th in the nation. Since 2000 Brent's competitive play includes Missouri State Champion (twice), U.S. Tennis Association Missouri Valley District and Sectional Champion and WTT National Champion. In 2009 he was ranked #23 nationally in men's 35s. Most recently he was ranked in the top 10 in the New England Section in multiple divisions.

Jonathan Kiley

In addition to being a seasoned pro here at the Mount Auburn Club, Jon worked at some of the tennis world's most desirable clubs including one of the top fifty resorts in the country, The Port Royal Racquet Club ('97 to '00), the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center in Hilton Head, S.C. and most recently served as Head Tennis Pro at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. Jon trained to be a tennis instructor at the prestigious Van der Meer Tennis Center in Hilton Head, S.C. Jon serves as the main point of contact for the Juniors programming here at the MAC.
Tennis Highlights In 1995 Jon competed on the Technical College of Low Country Tennis Team and competed in the Junior College Nationals in 1995. Currently, he plays doubles on the CMass Men's A-Team.

Amine Lahmeur

Amine's knowledge and experience are sure to improve anyone's tennis game. He was born and raised in Morocco then moved to the United States in 2000 to pursue his education. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. From 2004 to 2007, he was an Assistant Tennis Pro at The Tennis Academy at Harvard. Currently he works as the Assistant Director for the Co-Curricular Programs at Shady Hill School.
Tennis Highlights From 1994 to 1997, Amine competed on the Junior Tennis circuit throughout Africa and Europe. After that, he played Division I soccer and was selected for the 1999 Moroccan 21-and-under National team.

Kempton Smith

Kempton's extensive experience as a Tennis Pro and player will help transform your game. Kempton grew up in Negril, Jamaica where he started his career as a Tennis Pro at the Point Village Resort. He worked there until 2001 when he relocated to Boston. Once in Boston, he became a Tennis Pro at the Woburn Racquet Club for seven years working as the Junior Coordinator for five of those years. He also served as the Head Tennis Pro at the Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham.
Tennis Highlights Kempton played competitive tennis and was ranked as the #1 Junior in Negril from 1994 to 1996.

Chris Williamson

Chris, originally from Buffalo, N.Y., started teaching tennis professionally over 35 years ago. Chris served at Head Tennis Pro during summers at The Lake George Club, The Country Club of Buffalo, The Four Season Racquet Club and The Pelham Country Club. And before coming to the Mount Auburn Club Chris was the Senior Staff Pro at the Weston Racquet Club for nine years.
Tennis Highlights Chris has extensive competitive playing experience, winning numerous local and New York State tennis tournaments.
