MAC FIT consists of a comprehensive functional interval workout designed to keep your heart rate elevated in your unique, measured by a trainer, fat burning zone.  There will be short periods of cardiovascular, strength, and balance exercises lasting for approximately 40 minutes.  Then the session will conclude with an extensive 20 minute flexibility routine to reduce tension and stiffness, improve muscular elasticity, and cut down on delayed onset muscle soreness.  These FIT Workouts will be 60-minutes in duration and held twice a week for 6 consecutive weeks.

Equipment used - Keiser Performance Trainers, Keiser Spin Bikes/Ellipticals, Specialty Core Exercises, Upper Body and Leg Stations

New routines - Every 6 weeks a new, safe and carefully reviewed workout routine will be introduced to ensure you are progressing at the proper pace to get the highest results

Keiser E-chip - The chip used to record portions of your strength routine allowing us to analyze it and report back to you each week by email on your progress

Cardio Coaching - With a RS300x heart rate monitor, a 6-week cardiovascular plan will be automatically uploaded into your watch with Flowlink Technology and then all your cardiovascular activity in and outside the class will be recorded and monitored guiding you to work at the proper intensity all the time and burn fat as an energy source

New Leaf Metabolic Testing
It is now possible to measure your metabolism in a health club setting by performing an exercise and resting assessment. The New Leaf Metabolic Testing technology is the most accurate means of determining your fitness level and your rate of caloric burn and until recently it was only done in a hospital setting. The test is so precise that it is used to determine if someone can get on the heart transplant list.  The New Leaf assessments are the key to developing an individualized program to help you meet your weight loss, fitness improvement, or athletic performance goals. A Resting Metabolic Test and an Exercise Metabolic Test.* These tests yield metabolic numbers which will guide your trainer (who performs the test) as he/she creates a personalized physical activity program for you – to optimize the burning of calories during your workouts as well as improve your overall fitness. Knowing the results of this test, and using the program specially designed for you, will bring your body to its best physical fitness condition.

What you will learn:

• How many calories your body really needs

• Your heart rate zones for optimal fat burning and endurance training

• Your current fitness level

• How to lose weight by understanding your metabolism and what you can do to trim off inches and pounds

• The correct frequency, duration and intensity of workouts needed to attain your goals

• Principals of sound nutrition and diet

Heart Rate Monitors are available for purchase with our New Leaf Metabolic Assessment Kits so that you can train in your ideal zones while you exercise. By training at the correct intensity, you will optimize the effectiveness of every minute of your workout.

*The Resting Metabolic Test requires an 8-12 hour fast with no alcohol, cigarettes, stimulants, and excessive exercise during that time. The Exercise Metabolic Test requires all the same except the fast is 1-3 hours. For you to receive the best possible results from the tests, you will plan on testing on 2 separate days.
