Pilates | Myra Green Myra is Stott certified in Mat, Reformer, and
small apparatus including the spine corrector, cadillac, stability
chair, ladder and arc barrel. She also trained in anatomy and working
with people with injuries and health issues. Myra believes Pilates is a
way to positively alter your body and build abdominal strength as well
as capitalizing on the mind body connection to reduce stress. Making a
career change from social work to teaching Pilates full time was an
easy one for Myra when she saw the dramatic changes Pilates can make to
your body, your emotion and your energy. | | | Lisa Halloran Lisa’s interest in movement education began
with her love of dance at a very young age. Lisa’s dance training
continued during and after college as she studied Ballet, Toe, Tap and
Jazz. In 1982, a friend encouraged Lisa to try an Aerobics’ class,
which she reluctantly agreed to and became hooked. As a result, she
began teaching group exercise in 1983. Lisa has taught High and Low
Impact Aerobics, Step, Muscle Conditioning, Yoga and now Stott
Pilates. Lisa is also a Massage Therapist which brings a unique
perspective to her teaching. Lisa likes to analyze the body for
weaknesses and imbalances and help the client understand the change in
strength and flexibility available through Pilates. Lisa’s philosophy
is that Pilates is the foundation of core strength which enhances all
other forms of exercise. | |

| | Susan Vose Susan first became interested in Pilates while
studying dance, and later began to take Mat Pilates classes to
alleviate occasional back pain. Enthusiasm and belief in the success of
Pilates led Susan to study Stott Pilates, completing all levels of
coursework for both Mat and Equipment based Pilates, as well as the
study of Pilates for clients with injuries or physical limitations.
Susan has also completed workshops on Pilates with Flexbands and
Pilates for Athletic Performance. Susan is also AFAA certified in
Resistance Training. Susan believes that Pilates' core strength and
stability training benefits anyone and everyone. From the athlete
training for a specific event, a client looking for improved
conditioning, to the person recovering from an injury, Pilates enhances
overall conditioning, performance, and well being. |
